Broadening horizons for environmental managers

The role of environmental managers in British business has broadened significantly in recent years, according to an ENDS survey.1 Environmental managers are becoming more involved in general business development and wider issues such as corporate social responsibility. Most companies are devoting more man-hours to managing their environmental affairs, spurred by a growing statutory burden and emerging concerns over corporate reputation risk.
