Details emerge on national clearing house plan for WEEE

Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is to be ferried from civic amenity sites to recyclers under a set of regional or nationwide logistics contracts, according to proponents of the "clearing house" concept. Contracts with major waste management firms will be awarded by compliance schemes representing electronics producers.
