Detergent pollution costs Gatwick Airport £33,000

Gatwick Airport has been fined £30,000 after allowing a detergent used to clean runways to enter a nearby river. Thousands of fish died after contractors washed the detergent into watercourses fearing that heavy foaming would disrupt the airport's schedule.
