Anglian fined for water 'like creosote'

Anglian Water has been prosecuted by the Drinking Water Inspectorate for supplying a village in Norfolk with tarry, discoloured water. The company was fined £3,500 after magistrates heard that people refused to drink the water which one customer said caused "a burning sensation in the mouth".
