MPs attack CBI ‘scaremongering’ on climate change costs

The Chairman of the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee has accused Sir Digby Jones, director-general of the Confederation of British Industry, of "scaremongering" over the impact of the EU emissions trading scheme (EUETS) on UK competitiveness. The criticism was fuelled by Sir Digby’s admission that no British company has been driven overseas by environmental regulation.
