Falsification crisis puts spotlight on Lafarge
The Environment Agency has announced measures to restore public confidence in its regulation of the Lafarge cement works in Westbury after the company admitted that staff had falsified data on cement quality for two years. The development comes at a sensitive time for Lafarge which is seeking consent to burn chemical wastes.
