Glass firms at loggerheads over emissions from new bottle plant

Rockware, the UK’s largest container glass manufacturer, is objecting to a new plant being constructed by a competitor - on the grounds that the plant will not use the latest technology to control emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx). The case has raised concerns over the role played by the local authority which regulates the process.
