Plan for deep CO2 cuts in housing sector

Academics have issued a plan for cutting CO2 emissions from households by some 60% by 2050, in line with the Government’s aspirations for the economy as a whole.1 It relies on demolishing 14% of existing homes and radically transforming the market for lighting, appliances and domestic power production.
