‘Little evidence’ that pesticides initiative is working, say MPs

The industry-led Voluntary Initiative on pesticides has yet to produce convincing evidence that it is reducing the impacts of pesticides, the House of Commons Environment Committee reported in April.1 Both the Treasury and the Environment Department (DEFRA) appear no more than lukewarm about the benefits of a pesticides tax.
