DEFRA consults on changes to packaging regime

Proposals to increase the proportion of packaging waste that falls under the packaging regulations were issued by the Environment Department (DEFRA) on 30 March. The proposals would spread costs more equitably, allowing recycling and recovery targets for businesses obligated under the regime to be kept lower than they might otherwise be.
