MEPs reach deal on energy-using products Directive

The European Parliament agreed final changes to the proposed EU Directive on eco-design requirements for energy-using products during its second reading on 13 April. As the changes had already been approved by the Council of Ministers a week earlier, the text can be rubber stamped by the Council without having to go through "conciliation" negotiations between the Parliament and Council.
