G8 summit promises more 'dialogue' on climate change

The G8 summit in Gleneagles concluded with a promise to take forward a "dialogue" on how to reduce the world's greenhouse gas emissions. An action plan to promote cleaner technologies contains no new money or specific objectives - leaving everything to play for at a major climate meeting under the Kyoto Protocol in December.
