Aviation and shipping could absorb the UK's entire carbon budget

Carbon emissions from international shipping could grow as fast as those from aviation - and the two sectors could take up the UK's entire emissions budget for 2050, according to a major report by the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research. Innovation is seen as the key to reducing total energy demand, so avoiding the need for huge investments in a new low carbon energy system.
