Greening Government reports too rosy, warns National Audit Office

Annual Greening Government reports give an exaggerated impression of progress in developing sustainable procurement, according to a report from the National Audit Office.1 The NAO finds that Government commitment has been poorly communicated, with many departments not realising that sustainable purchasing has been required for new contracts since 2003.
