Friends of the Earth wants cosmetics and sunscreens containing nanomaterials to be withdrawn from sale until they are proved safe.1 The NGO - which has also filed a joint petition with the US Food and Drug Administration - has identified more than 100 skin and hair-care products containing the controversial technology.2
