Builder setting sights on zero landfill
Construction group Wates has raised the bar in the building industry by setting a target to eliminate the landfilling of non-hazardous waste within five years. The move reflects the growing importance of environmental issues in the sector, largely driven by customer pressure. Geraint Roberts reports
