Advance in CHP, renewables still too slow to meet targets
The UK achieved a small improvement in its energy intensity last year despite setting new records for energy consumption and electricity generation, according to the latest official energy statistics. 1 But progress in adding cleaner combined heat and power and renewable energy capacity remained well below the levels needed to meet Government targets.
