Pallet plant may offer market for plastic packaging waste

A major boost to recycling of plastic packaging in the UK could come from plans to make plastic pallets entirely from recyclate. However, proposals by the European Commission to prevent feedstock recycling from contributing to recycling targets set in a future revision of the EC packaging Directive may dampen interest in a feedstock recycling plant at BP Amoco Chemicals' Grangemouth works.
