Traffic forecasts spell trouble for CO2 and air quality

The ten-year plan for transport will fail to deliver the expected reductions in carbon dioxide emissions, the Department for Transport has quietly admitted. The DfT is also forecasting much higher emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and fine particulates (PM10).
