Colloids' chemical blaze caused by "dereliction of duty"

Serious malpractices in chemical storage procedures were revealed during a prosecution of speciality chemicals producer Allied Colloids over a massive blaze at its Low Moor, Bradford, site last July. The company was ordered to pay £162,300 in fines and costs after being convicted of three offences arising from the disaster.
