Science review of GM crops flags up serious biodiversity worries

Two official reviews of the economics and health and environmental implications of genetically modified crops were published in July.1 Their biggest impact has been to throw into sharp relief significant scientific concern that the GM crops awaiting the green light in the UK may intensify the already serious decline in farmland biodiversity.
