Scottish Water fined for sludge discharge
Scottish Water has been fined £4,000 after admitting discharging sewage sludge into a burn near Cumbernauld. Airdrie sheriff court fined the company on 9 December after it admitted a charge brought under section 30F(3) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974.
