New focus on drinking water 'hotspots'

Drinking water quality in England and Wales improved again in 2003, reaching 99.88% compliance with quality standards, the Drinking Water Inspectorate has reported.1 The Inspectorate now intends to change the focus of reporting towards "hotspots" which are not caught by the current reporting method.
