Ban on burning farm plastics moves closer

Farming and pesticide manufacturers' bodies have abandoned their attempts to ward off a ban on the burning of farm plastics, with the debate switching to who should pay for the collection of such material. Research commissioned by the waste industry suggests that the burning of farm plastics is a significant source of dioxin emissions that has been so far overlooked.
