COMAH consultation shifts approach to safety report reviews
Proposals for implementing the latest amendment to the 1982 EU Directive on control of major accident hazards (COMAH) were issued by the Health and Safety Commission in July.1 The paper also proposes the effective scrapping of an existing presumption that operators of "top tier" sites should revise their safety reports automatically every five years.
