Another fine for Southern Water

Southern Water has been fined £3,000 after pleading guilty to polluting the river Medway with sewage after a partial blockage at its Penshurst sewage works in Tonbridge. The company appeared before Sevenoaks magistrates in July to plead guilty to the charge under section 85(1) of the Water Resources Act 1991.
