Persistent oil pollution costs Severn Trent £7,000

Severn Trent Water has been fined £5,000 after allowing oily water to enter a tributary of the river Anker near Nuneaton. The company appeared before Nuneaton magistrates to plead guilty to a charge under section 85(1) of the Water Resources Act 1991.
