Isle of Man's energy-from-waste facility starts up

SITA started processing the Isle of Man's municipal waste at its newly built incinerator on 17 August. The facility at Richmond Hill will process all the island's municipal waste, around 60,000 tonnes per year. It will also generate 6.8MW of electricity, around 8% of the island's needs.
