MPs analyse weaknesses in sustainable development strategy

The Government's sustainable development strategy has not succeeded in mainstreaming environmental protection over the past five years, according to a report by the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee.1 Wide-ranging changes in Whitehall and beyond, led by the Prime Minister, are needed to make the strategy work after it is revised early next year.
