Whitehall efficiency drive ‘threatens green procurement’

The Government’s plans to deliver major "efficiency savings" across the public sector will make it harder for environmental issues to be embedded in procurement policy, the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) has told a parliamentary inquiry. The inquiry has also heard criticism of the Office of Government Commerce’s efforts to promote green procurement.
