WWF predicts 'climate crisis' for UK seas

According to a new assessment by conservation group WWF, rising sea levels and dramatic increases in the frequency of storm surges resulting from climate change could bring devastation to UK coastal regions. Meanwhile, increases in the temperature and acidity of seawater could threaten whole populations of plankton, fish and seabirds in the north-east Atlantic.1
