RWE sells Thames Water

Thames Water, the UK’s biggest water company, has been sold by German utility group RWE to a consortium called Kemble Water led by Australian bank Macquarie. The deal is valued at £8 billion, including £3.2 billion of debt, and is the biggest company sale in the UK this year.
