Corus fined £1.3 million for Port Talbot explosion

Steelmaker Corus has been fined £1.3 million and ordered to pay costs of £1.7 million for safety management failures that caused a massive explosion at the Port Talbot works in 2001. Three workers were killed and a dozen others seriously injured.
