Advertising complaint forces rethink on windfarm claims

The wind industry must adjust figures for carbon dioxide saved by windfarms, following an Advertising Standards Authority ruling. In October, the ASA upheld a complaint from local campaigners about Npower Renewable’s proposed Batsworthy Cross windfarm. The complaint related to adverts saying it would save 33,000 tonnes of CO2 a year.
