80% carbon cut by 2050 is ‘challenging, feasible and necessary’

A leading think tank has set out how the UK could cut its CO2 emissions by at least four fifths by 2050, saying this target should be enshrined in the Climate Change Bill. But the pace of decarbonisation would have to be speeded up drastically.
