Labour aims to capture environmental high ground

The Labour Party is due to unveil its new environmental policy in mid-July. It will promise major institutional reforms to bring the environment closer to the heart of the policy-making machine, an "environmental New Deal" to promote industrial innovation and employment, a radical overhaul of transport and energy policy, and new environmental rights for citizens.
