NRA reaches interim verdict on sewage disinfection

The National Rivers Authority (NRA) has come down against the use of ozone and peroxyacetic acid (PAA) for sewage disinfection. The decision is a blow to companies which were hoping to capitalise on demand for interim clean-up of coastal sewage discharges in response to growing public concern about pollution of bathing waters.
