Washing machine producers shun eco-labelling scheme
Hoover's share of the up-market washing machine sector has more than doubled since 1993, at least in part because some of its range has the EC eco-label. But its two main competitors, Hotpoint and Zanussi, remain unconvinced that they would gain a sufficient market advantage to offset the cost of obtaining and holding an eco-label.
