Farmers fined for slurry pollution
Two farms were fined in September for illegal slurry discharges. Environment Agency officers visited Crockway Farm near Dorchester, Dorset, in July 2008 having received a report that slurry was draining onto two protected areas. The farm is close to Cerne and Sydling Downs, a special area of conservation and Hog Cliff, a site of special scientific interest.
