Chlorine businesses wade into battle over North Sea

The chlorine industry is intensifying its international campaign to promote the socio-economic benefits of its products while limiting the application of the precautionary principle to them. In Europe, its sights are on the fourth North Sea conference in June, where Ministers will be under pressure to reinforce existing measures because targets agreed at earlier conference for the reduction of hazardous chemical inputs to the North Sea have not been met.
