Rugby Cement wins go-ahead for waste fuels

Rugby Cement's Barrington site in Cambridgeshire has become the first cement works to win permission for permanent burning of waste-based secondary liquid fuel (SLF). However, HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP) has tightened the fuel specification to reflect that used in trial burns more closely, as well as encouraging Rugby to bring forward investment in improved particulate arrestment.
