Unilever and Nestl# give ground on genetically modified soya

The campaign in favour of segregating genetically modified food ingredients has been stepped up by environmental and consumer groups in Europe and the USA. In Germany, Unilever and Nestl# have promised not to use modified soya in their products for the moment. Meanwhile, conflicting claims are being made about the feasibility of keeping modified and non-modified crops separate along the food supply chain.
