Austria and Luxembourg fight to block imports of GM maize

Austria and Luxembourg are to contest a European Commission ruling that they must lift their bans on imports of genetically modified (GM) maize by contesting the decision in the European Court of Justice (ECJ). Austria also intends to ban a GM oilseed rape, while Norway intends to ban six products containing GM organisms which have been authorised by the EC.
