UK Presidency to push for greening of EC policy

The UK is to use its Presidency of the EC to promote the integration of environmental considerations into other policies, with a better prospect of success than at any time in the past. Climate change is set to dominate a busy agenda for Environment Ministers to June, alongside other important initiatives on air pollution, water resources and landfills. But a proposal for Ministers to review EC chemicals policy may come to nothing.
