The problem with particulates

Unlike most other air pollutants, levels of PM10 - particles smaller than 10 micrometres in diameter - consist of a complex mixture. As understanding has improved of the interactions between particle size, chemistry, atmospheric behaviour and origin, the difficulty of securing reductions in PM10 has has become more apparent.
