Cautious response to Lords report on GM crops
The Government has steered clear of fresh controversy in its response to last January's report on genetically modified (GM) crops and foods by the House of Lords Select Committee on the European Communities.1 Meanwhile, Environment Minister Michael Meacher has disclosed that the Government is considering what civil liability rules should apply to GM crops.
