Albright & Wilson fined £60,000 after chemical mix-up causes blast

Chemicals manufacturer Albright & Wilson has been ordered to pay £90,000 in fines and costs for a major explosion and fire at its site in Avonmouth, Bristol. The incident was caused by flawed procedures which allowed an incorrectly labelled delivery of chemicals to be unloaded into the wrong storage tank.
