Forest Stewardship Council relaxes labelling rules
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is changing its labelling rules for forestry products in the face of claims that they mislead consumers, give some companies an unfair competitive advantage and prevent up to 95% of timber from FSC-endorsed forests being used in labelled products. Some retailers have also had difficulties in increasing their ranges of FSC-endorsed products.
