Plastics industry draws solace from ASA's latest verdict on PVC
The plastics industry has won a victory on points in its latest battle to protect the environmental image of PVC. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has upheld four of the industry's six complaints against the Co-operative Bank's advertisements for a PVC-free credit card. Meanwhile, Sainsbury's has been admonished for claiming to be the first retailer with a GM-free food policy, while Southern Electric has become the first company to fall foul of the ASA over a promotion for green electricity.
