Eco-protesters win test case against developers

The Court of Appeal has ruled that developers with a licence to investigate land before purchase do not necessarily have sufficient legal interest to bring proceedings to eject environmental protesters occupying the land. The decision marks something of a departure from its judgment last year on the occupation of Manchester Airport which apparently gave extensive rights to potential developers.
